Western influences are back in focus for Autumn/Winter 2024 – but this time, it rides back with a cleaner, understated edge. For FD Persoonlijk’s fashion issue, I curated a shopping trend page that highlights this refined cowboy silhouette, translating catwalk cues into inspiration for both menswear and womenswear.
My take on the AW24 cowboy trend nods to classic elements – boots, fringe, suede, leather – but strips away anything overly nostalgic. It’s about iconic shapes with a contemporary attitude: wearable, styled with intention, and grounded in clarity.
Western codes showed up strongly this season at Louis Vuitton, Schiaparelli, Dsquared2, and Lemaire menswear. Each house interpreted the silhouette in their own language – from polished to rugged to poetic and minimalistic. This editorial page brings these elements together in a focused overview, designed to feel relevant and directional. A modern nod to the cowboy look in style.
As SS25 approaches, this silhouette shifts again. Think lighter materials, looser cuts, and crafted details. But for now, AW24 holds space for a quiet kind of cowboy cool.
